“Create champions within your organisation”

On 21 June, in the afternoon, the OneLife HR and Digital managers, with the continued presence of Nicola Doherty from LinkedIn and Alizée Del Mastro from Lynda.com, presented the workings of the tool proposed by Lynda.com in full detail to the members of the executive committee, managers and beta-testers.

For Nicola Doherty, whose mission was to ensure that staff may benefit from the full capacity of the e-learning platform, “Lynda.com meets the needs of Millenials, always on the lookout for new skills and training”. She added: “in many companies the new generations justifiably complain of the lack of training. Lynda.com’s interest is as follows: staff will not need to spend hours on training. The idea is really to maximise the few minutes spent in order to refine one’s professional skills”.

Communicating, encouraging and sharing

The Regional Sales Manager also explained that the success of this training programme depends on the commitment of staff. This must be communicated, therefore: via newsletters, via the creation of an intra-company club or simply by creating and sharing a playlist of training which potentially corresponds to the various members of a team or to all the employees of OneLife. “Speak about it over lunch, initiate a discussion, create habits” Nicola Doherty recommends. The possibilities of communication within a team, and even for all the staff, are many: posters, sharing experiences or gamification techniques recompensed for the most assiduous employees. She added: “This tool will enable you to create real champions in your team, in your company. They share their successes and thus transmit their motivation to their staff. Why and how they use the platform? What is their favourite training? What is felt about their daily work and their missions? Share your figures! It is how you are going to promote the tool which will make it successful.” The training, if integrated into the performance evaluation process, will also enable the next stages of a career to be determined: leadership, management, but also more technical solutions, which must not be neglected. Nicola insists also on the importance of feedback and user experience: to managers, company management, but also to the LinkedIn and Lynda.com teams. “This feedback must be constructive and will enable all stakeholders to enhance the efficiency of the platform” the LinkedIn employee stressed.

Alizée Del Mastro went further: “Managers, create a learning path within your team! The training available on the Lynda.com platform enables your knowledge to be refreshed and updated. This is a crucial point in a company in the midst of transformation”. The videos are displayed according to their popularity, recommended and tagged: the Lynda.com algorithm thus proposes the training that most closely matches your profile. On the technical side, managers play the role of administrator on the platform, enabling them to assign training to their staff and to ensure that they have been followed, while adding personalised documents and messages. The aim is therefore to encourage the members of one’s team but also to align their skills so that they can complement each other. Lastly, reports can be produced: connection frequency, content viewed, devices used and much, much more. “It is important to monitor staff habits when this type of training plan is initiated. The manager must observe, understand and adjust, if necessary. Hence the great importance of feedback” Alizée explains. And as Nicola stresses, the purpose of these reports is to facilitate both the life of managers and of the staff who undertake the training.

A flexible e-learning platform

The beta-testers then shared their experience after several weeks of testing. For  Nathalie de Kerchove of the Compliance & Risk department, “the strength of this e-learning platform lies in a great choice of training and it is very easy to access”. She also highlighted the flexibility of the solution proposed by Lynda.com: it is not necessary to spend hours or days on training  Jérôme Lejeune of the Customer Services department drew the same conclusion: “The division into chapters is very practical, as is the possibility of pausing the training and videos that you have started”.

Lastly  Laurence Parison, Chief Human Resources Officer, concluded by highlighting the importance of following your own training, and not only those imposed by the managers: “The mandatory training may be undertaken during working time, but everyone is responsible for developing their skills. Hence the great benefit of subscribing to solutions such as Lynda.com. So we can speak of a win-win situation for the employee and for the employer”.

Motivating and engaging teams around e-learning

The e-learning platform, available to all OneLife staff, was presented in the presence of Nicola Doherty, from LinkedIn and Alizée Del Mastro from Lynda.com. The specialists in online training thus presented, in detail, the possibilities now available to the employees of the life insurance company. A first for a Luxembourg financial sector player.

The event was also held in the presence of Nicola Doherty, Regional Sales Manager for LinkedIn, who started her presentation: “The primary mission of the professional social network is to create economic opportunities for all by making tools available to find a job on the one hand and enabling companies to find their future talent on the other”. But, today, competencies are changing and LinkedIn has fully understood this: the largest professional social network now offers an e-learning platform, after buying Lynda.com, the world’s leading online training platform, founded over 20 years ago, a few years ago. “Today Lynda.com is the biggest film studio, after Hollywood. Over 30 videos are released in English every week, and more than 10 in other languages” Nicola explained, adding: “these videos are created so that the student can benefit from all the time spent”. Her subsequent presentation was completed by Alizée Del Mastro, live from Austria.

“Our trainers are professionals, experts in their field. The e-learning solution enables you to update your knowledge, whether this involves software, soft skills or leadership. Some of the training modules will be sent to you directly by your managers, but it is also up to you to find those which can help you develop professionally. Be curious” Alizée Del Mastro explains. The training may last from 20 minutes to five hours, but it is possible to select the chapters which directly concern the interested parties. “They are different from professional training since they are much more flexible. They are available at any time and wherever you may be. They are sometimes also completed with exercises and can be downloaded to be consulted offline” Anna Lehmann-Bertini, the HR specialist explains. The most popular training within the company is also pushed onto the front page and the Lynda.com experts will work hand in hand with OneLife’s HR and Digital departments over the coming weeks to point managers and employees to the training best adapted to their needs. “Some may be integrated into your annual training plan, into your team’s or may be viewed in working groups, etc.” Alizée explains.

“It is important to try to find time, to have an idea of the skills one wishes to develop, and thus to spend a few minutes a week on the platform. It is not necessary to spend three hours a week on Lynda.com, but a few sessions of ten minutes or so may suffice” Christophe Regnault, Digital Marketing Manager, added before concluding this, the morning session: “It is up to us to create a real movement and engagement around Lynda.com. It is a social, living tool. It must be shared: your favourite training, your playlists and even your certificates that you can display on your LinkedIn profiles”.

OneLife Academy Learn-Unlearn Relearn OneLife.eu.com

OneLife Academy: the life assurance company officially launches its e-learning platform

On 21 September, the OneLife digital and HR teams, represented by Christophe Regnault and Anna Lehmann-Bertini, presented its new online training tool, announced at the Digital Days in June, to all its staff.

“A few months after presenting our new training strategy to you, we are officially launching our OneLife Academy, in partnership with LinkedIn and, more particularly, Lynda.com” explains Christophe Regnault, Digital Marketing Manager. There are now several thousand training opportunities available to the employees of OneLife. But the launch of this academy is only one part of the company’s transformation plan: numerous meetings will thus be organised, on a regular basis, with the purpose of presenting the advances made, but also the new technologies and future projects.

As Christophe Regnault underlines, to learn it is henceforth necessary to “unlearn, to better re-learn” as the famous American futurologist Alvin Toffer explained. “In the past we merely executed what we had learnt”. Today, in a world which is constantly moving, it is necessary to continue to develop”, the digital manager explains. This is why OneLife has joined up with LinkedIn to propose an e-learning solution to all its employees. This platform is easy to access, open to all, and enables staff to follow the training possibilities available at their own speed. They can also be followed on various PCs and mobile devices. “The social aspect is also important: we can all learn from others. Dialogue and communication are thus keys in succeeding with such a training programme” Christophe Regnault adds, going on to say: “LinkedIn, and its Lynda.com solution, offer the best possible training combination”. The content is produced only by professionals. The videos are filmed in Austria and in Silicon Valley. They are all made with a specific aim: helping professionals by offering them comprehensive and concrete solutions. Every expert, or speaker, thus shares their knowledge.

For Anna Lehmann-Bertini, HR Specialist, this e-learning solution proposed by LinkedIn will benefit all employees, managers, members of the executive committee and thus, in general the Luxembourg life insurance company. “Today you all have access to almost 10,000 training possibilities, wherever you want and whenever you want. As for managers, they can select mandatory training for the members of their team, in order to maintain and enhance the skills of every employee” the HR specialist explained. The training chosen by the managers must be followed during working time. To do this the HR department is making five iPads available to the members of the firm, along with the possibility of reserving meeting rooms. The ball is now in the court of OneLife’s employees: it is they, therefore, who have control over their own professional development.

Adapting, developing and growing together

Nicolas Schmit, Luxembourg’s Minister of Labour, Employment, the Social and the Socially-Responsible Economy, closed this two-day event of discovery and training in digital technology by hailing the laudable originality of the initiative launched by OneLife. “Just today, we ministers were discussing the impacts of the digital transformation on business and on the job market. It is extremely encouraging to see that it is not merely a matter of discussions, but of practice. OneLife is thus making a bold step forward in this process of transformation,” were Minister Schmit’s opening remarks.

He went on to stress the government’s determination to make the country ever more competitive, and position it as a digital leader in Europe. “Luxembourg businesses can develop and start-ups can be formed in this favourable environment: they are already seizing the opportunities that digital technology affords,” he added. For Nicolas Schmit, it is of prime importance to involve all stakeholders in the business and to foster genuine dialogue, even beyond the bounds of the business itself. This will make the sharing of experience key to successful digital transformation, even though, obviously, each company must define for itself its needs and its own vision. “In the next three months, the government will launch the ‘Skills Bridge’, which begins by identifying needs for digital skills, and continues by addressing the need for a business to invest in its staff. This being so, what is the responsibility of government?” asked the Minister of Labour before concluding: “I appreciate OneLife’s approach. Skills are fundamental and must be constantly developed; this is a matter that must be seriously taken on board. We must work together to make ours a better country. Together, we will succeed in this”.

OneLife-Digital-Days-Minister-cocktail

A cocktail rounded off these Digital Days which had given the OneLife staff the opportunity to discover and test tomorrow’s technologies and, above all, to get the full flavour of them, since they are already reshaping their working methods, their jobs and their daily lives. With the wealth of experience these two days procured, OneLife is positioning itself as a leader of digital transformation in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and is continuing to complete the stages in its digital roadmap.

“Grasping the numerous opportunities of digital technology”

For some months, Nasir Zubairi has been the CEO of LHoFT (Luxembourg House of Financial Technology). A world-renowned specialist of financial technologies, Nasir is also among the Top 100 experts of the Blockchain. “We all have a smart phone in our pockets and we are constantly connected. Even so, fewer than 1% of financial transactions are effected via the smart phone. And yet, our lives are clearly adapted to technologies, whether mobile, computer or the Internet of things,” observed Nasir Zubairi. He considers that the world of finance fails to make sufficient use of these technologies. “The financial services are ‘facilitators’, they allow people to purchase, which is the ultimate goal,” stated Nasir Zubairi. He, too, advocates a change of mentality, with a special focus on problems, rather than a directly solution-oriented approach. “This means that all staff become potential suppliers of solutions.

“This means that all staff become potential suppliers of solutions.” Nasir Zubairi, CEO of LHoFT

And in addition, it develops their commitment to this company,” he added. Concerning the services provided by insurance companies, Nasir Zubairi addressed the issue of the potential value added from health data, feedback, etc.: “We should generate a climate of positive emotion, in which people subscribe out of genuine inclination, rather than only because they feel compelled to do so”. For Nasir Zubairi, “the opportunities beggar belief; we must be among those who think differently and find solutions to problems. The OneLife environment allows this to happen. So go forward and seize those opportunities”.

Several thousand MOOCs for people to develop their skills

It is with this in mind that, under the impulse of Christophe Regnault, OneLife’s HR department, represented by Nicolas Palau, HR Business Partner, in cooperation with Julien Joly, of LinkedIn Europe (LinkedIn Learning/Lynda.com), used the Digital Days as the venue for presenting his new MOOC training offer (the initials stand for “Massive Open Online Course”) open to all the life-assurance company’s employees, starting in September. “Business practices are evolving, and we must take on the changes bodily. MOOCs afford great flexibility in learning and provide an approach complementing our existing training offers,” remarked the HR specialist, concluding with the words: “Be keen, be inquisitive, take the reins of your own development”.

Thus, the OneLife staff had their first taste of a live demonstration of the possibilities afforded by LinkedIn Europe (LinkedIn Learning / Lynda.com), described by Julien Joly as the “Netflix of training”.

Learn. Unlearn. Relearn.

From the Blockchain to Artificial Intelligence

To follow up the previous day’s presentation of new technologies and trends by Christophe Hermanns, the OneLife managers opted for a more pragmatic approach the second day, with addresses by partners working in RegTech, FinTech and other fields besides.

Fabrice Croiseaux, CEO of InTech, started the workshop session with an introduction to the Blockchain. “Internet, and particularly GAFA (Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon), are the world’s most centralised platforms, which gives them undoubted strike potential,” were this IT expert’s opening words. He went on to state that the purpose of the Blockchain was to provide the same type of secure services, without their being centralised. “The entire history of transactions is recorded but, on the other hand, it is not known who is behind the address. It is important to emphasise that not only virtual money is involved but also smart contracts, cadastral land-registry data, title deeds, etc.”. Among other uses for life-assurance companies, the Blockchain can be used to centralise the distribution of funds.

Next, David Naramski, Partner at Nowina Solutions, set forth to all the staff the advantages of integrating the electronic signature into the finance world. This is currently a project at OneLife, scheduled to materialise in the second half of 2017. “The electronic signature is a compromise between optimum security and a new user experience,” explains David Naramski. A directive has been in existence since 1999, although it left interpretation to the discretion of the EU Member States. Regulations have been in force since 2014, to make for uniformity among electronic signatures. Several tools coexist nevertheless: Advanced Electronic Signature and Qualitative Electronic Signature, allowing the use of a smart phone (via SMS), a tablet or the user’s identity card, depending on the electronic signature used.

Johann Blais, Head of Software Solutions at Ainos, took the chair to share the advances in artificial intelligence “which all of us already use every day, and which was made known to us through many a Hollywood film,” while especially emphasising the Chatbot. His team is working with OneLife to develop a virtual assistant named Olive(R). This will assist business partners in the subscription process through a chat window designed to guide the subscriber, as well as freeing time for the OneLife experts to follow up and customise the services. “Bots can process information more rapidly than humans can ever hope to do,” added Johann Blais.

Next, Luc Maquil, CEO and co-founder of the Luxembourg start-up, KYCTech, shared his vision with the OneLife staff. Both companies announced a Proof of Concept in May this year, at ICT Spring. “Compliance & Risk Officers’ tasks should be facilitated. This involves not a revolution, but rather analysing the different stages – analyses, research, etc. – and automating them,” pointed out Luc Maquil, adding that certain challenges remained: collecting information which can be found in abundance everywhere, cleaning it and, above all, identifying clients’ and partners’ needs. “Technology is worthless if it is not used optimally. It must impart genuine added value,” were the KYCTech CEO’s closing words.

To conclude this practical session, Marc Stevens and Christophe Regnault welcomed Olivier Gentier, the CEO of the French start-up Advize, specialising in automated wealth-management advising, termed “robo-advisor”. “The three missions or pillars of robo-adviser are the user’s experience, the financial adviser and the quest for performance. We often hear it said that the client is at the centre of the strategy, but 97% of the population has no access to genuine financial advice,” explains Olivier Gentier, who sees the robo-adviser as a co-pilot, using several tools. Among these, he cited knowledge of the client and the investor profile, financial advice and investment allocation, then facilitating on-line subscription. After the 2017 summer holidays, Advize and OneLife will launch an offer targeting CGPI independent wealth-management advisers. “This is a first in the Grand Duchy and a genuine revolution,” in the words of Wim Dieryck, Chief Commercial Officer at OneLife.

Pitch Time !

The HR Department, under the leadership of Nicolas Palau, also put its staff to the test: their teamwork task was to represent the different experiences of the day in a diagram, and then present not only the experiences they most enjoyed but, above all, the impact of the digital transformation on the activities of life-assurance company. The exercise concluded with ten teams successively defining the next challenges for OneLife before a jury empanelling the members of the Executive Committee (Marc Stevens, Laurence Parison, Wim Dieryck, Eric Lippert, Cédric Lootvoet, Antonio Corpas), with 2 minutes’ pitch time each. Contributors highlighted the importance of communication and information, the arrival of the electronic signature or the value added by applications and virtual reality. However, the members of the jury were swayed by the human aspect and customer orientation argued by Nathalie Calabrese’s team.

Digital technology to improve the experience of and service to clients, partners and staff

The day after the victory, their testimony was given by the members of the team picked as the winner of the pitch session arguing the impact of digital technology on OneLife’s activities, and projecting the future challenges. The winning team was composed of Nathalie Calabrese, Anna Bertini, Liana Aghabekyan, Steven Cooney, Judith Hooker, Valérie Harm, Pierre Derupty, Melissa Fety, Philippe Polydore and Michael Hodges.

“In the case of OneLife, the chief benefit of digital will be enabling us to meet clients’ requests more quickly – and even virtually instantaneously – and efficiently. Our life-assurance company is clearly customer-oriented,” began Nathalie Calabrese. Doubtless, these Digital Days were designed to introduce all the staff at OneLife to the new digital practices and trends, yet we have already come a long way. As recalled by Liana Aghabekyan, the insurer is currently engaged in incorporating digital-signature technology, and is collaborating with the Luxembourg RegTech KYCTech, in close coordination with the Compliance & Risk Department, to facilitate the registration process for policyholders. “Last year, we also launched a mobile application. And for 25 years, we have been using Yoya,” she remarked, pointing to OneLife’s long-standing determination to feature among the pioneers of innovation in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

OneLife-Digital-Days-winner

Nathalie Calabrese also stressed the importance of the human aspect, the argument which had won over the members of the jury: “These technologies greatly increase the opportunities for interaction and communication with our partners and clients, but also internally with our colleagues. They embody genuine value added and make life easier for staff. However, a human vision is necessary for integrating them and for their optimum use”. Humans and technologies complement each other, as pointed out by Liana Aghabekyan. “These tools give us new options for interaction and exchanges,” endorsed Steven Cooney. Philippe Polydore emphasised, for his part, that these technologies in process of integration will increase process reliability at OneLife, while also highlighting the “paperless” aspect of the electronic signature.

All members of the team brought together on the occasion of these Digital Days agreed on the fast paced at which businesses are transforming, hence the need not to miss the digitalisation train. “These two days have imparted a healthy momentum and have given us a practical view of the potential for harnessing these technologies to OneLife’s business,” was the team’s unanimous verdict.

Work hard. Play hard.

In different groups, the OneLife teams were given a presentation by Christophe Hermanns, CEO of Vigo Universal, and one of Belgium’s pioneers in the development of high-technology tools to help man in his day-to-day activities. “We have all of us heard about these new technologies, in the media or on the social networks. I’m thinking in particular of gesture recognition, virtual reality or 3D printing. In 2020, we can look to the existence of more than 50 billion connected objects. Watches, toothbrushes, etc., all of this will become connected,” were the opening words of Christophe Hermanns, who went on to point out that: All these technologies are merely evolving from instruments which today we can hold in our pockets: smart phones”. Christophe Hermanns, drawing on his technological expertise, pointed out that the capabilities, intelligence and power of computers have evolved very rapidly. In 1965, people thought that computers would attain the intelligence of a monkey in 2030… Whereas in fact it will attain the intelligence of a human as early as 2025!

Nowadays, people no longer perform the job for which they were trained. People are continuing to develop steadily, and new job profiles and skills are emerging. As an example, when a doctor qualifies, 30% of his knowledge is already out of date,” remarked Christophe Hermanns.

This draws an obvious parallel with the world of work and with the digital transformation in all sectors: businesses and their staff have constantly to re-examine themselves, innovate and develop their skills. It is admittedly difficult to anticipate the future, but the Gartner consultancy, via its Hype Cycle, visualises each year technologies which are in process of emerging, and identifies the point when they enter our everyday life: this is the productivity plateau. Christophe Hermanns later dwelt on several technologies which are poised to revolutionise our working methods, our ways of interacting with our clients and partners, or the ways of promoting our services. At our company’s Capellen premises in Luxembourg, the OneLife teams were afforded the opportunity of seeing these technologies at close quarters and thus gaining new digital experience at first hand.

Technologies that reshape our daily lives

“The 3D printing sector is growing fast. This method, which has existed since 1984, was popularised only in the early 2010s with the possibility of printing via the Internet”, explained Christophe Hermanns. What are its uses? Modelling for marketing departments and architects, but also for heritage conservation and in medical uses. Some of these uses are not as yet sufficiently industrialised and will require a few more years before they become democratised.

OneLife-Digital-Days-augmented-reality

As Vigo Universal’s CEO pointed out, people were already speaking of Augmented Reality in 1962. However, it only achieved prominence in 2015 with the more widespread use of the smart phone but, above all, with the doubtless fleeting, but effective trend of Pokemon Go. The sensors, gyroscope and other digital components of our smart phones enable us today to capture and analyse an image, and to sublimate its environment. “Paradoxically, paper is benefiting from this technology today. This is true of marketing brochures to which can be attached PDFs, videos, etc. Paper is becoming dynamic and interactive,” explained Mr Hermanns.

Virtual reality, on the other hand, was popularised by the Matrix saga, whose characters were immersed in an entirely synthetic universe. “This technology uses a headset and gives a different vision of the world. Many companies are developing software for the worlds of finance or training and yet, for the origins of VR, one needs to go back to 1787, with projections creating a virtual universe,” he remarked. This technology is already used in the medical field to treat certain phobias; it is also used to create applications yielding new experiences for clients and partners.

DSC_0137

Marketing and finance also benefit from Gesture Recognition, another technology discussed by Christophe Hermanns. Initiated by start-ups, advocated by Microsoft and then popularised by Apple, gesture recognition is developing at an equivalent pace in Europe, Asia or the United States. Lastly, the new-technology specialist dwelt on Mixed Reality, which has the advantage over virtual reality of the user being able to continue interacting with the world around him. “This is the most advanced and sophisticated technology. The cameras in your headset, glasses, or later lenses, measure the whole of the environment around you. This technology has remarkable implications in particular for the training sector,” he added.

Christophe Hermanns concluded by saying that “we must now make a choice, carefully selecting the information available to us”. He also sought to reassure: technology – and digital technology – in no way disrupt interpersonal relationships; quite the reverse, they create new experiences and break down barriers. They encourage exchanges and sharing, in a more intuitive way. “These new business tools are entering our everyday life and will quite obviously cause radical change in the banking and insurance sector,” concluded Christophe Hermanns.

OneLife-digital-days

Experience through play

These two days also provided OneLife’s 150 staff with hands-on experience of implementing the technological innovations described by Vigo Universal’s CEO. The Belgian company’s teams provided several workshops for the life-assurer’s employees through a 100% digital journey in the reception area. The programme included piloting drones, a virtual-reality football game and, among others parachute jumping or a shoot-up in a Wild West saloon. “The experience of using augmented- and virtual-reality headsets staggered everyone: WOW!” exclaimed Nathalie Calabrese. Steven Cooney could not but confirm: “I am bowled over; these technologies are very realistic”. Using Hololens headsets, the OneLife staff were able, among others, to rediscover the solar system through augmented reality. “What was most worthwhile was having hands-on experience of these technologies. As an IT developer, I knew these technologies although I have not necessarily had the opportunity to test them,” added Philippe Polydore. “We are not all geeks,” remarked a jesting Nathalie, adding: “I think that 90% of us have never even had the opportunity of trying out these technologies and have simply learnt about them on TV or social networks. Now, we can understand the extent of their usefulness in our professional world”. To end up with, a 3-D Printing workshop was on the programme.

DSC_0053

For Liana Aghabekyan, these two days had a strong impact, developing awareness in all the staff of the direction OneLife is taking. Liana added, “Now, no longer can anyone view the management’s decisions with scepticism”. Thus, staff emerged from this first year’s Digital Days session with their horizons widened. “The company’s organising of this in-house event proves that it is open to new technology, which marks a major advance for a life-assurance company since, in the past, this did not necessarily reflect the mentality in the profession,” explained Philippe Polydore. “All these experiences were highly instructive, as were the presentations. We have been given a clear vision of what digital technology contributes to the life-assurance business, and of the pace at which our business practices are changing. It is also very encouraging to see that all staff took part and contributed to the proceedings at this first year’s Digital Days session,” concluded Nathalie Calabrese.

Why did the Minister Nicolas Schmit conclude OneLife’s Digital Days ?

OneLife-Digital-Nicolas-Schmit-Minister

On Thursday 15 June, at 6pm, OneLife had the honour to welcome Nicolas Schmit who delivered a speech to conclude OneLife’s Digital Days. The Minister emphasised by his presence and his words, the importance of the project initiated by OneLife within a global project of the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.  The objective of this project is to bridge the gap between the country’s digital transformation,  particularly in the financial sector, and the skills which are currently available.

Skills are an investment. We tend to think it’s just about computers and hardware but the best machines don’t function if people aren’t there to operate them.” Nicolas Schmit, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Economy

These Digital Days marked the launch of the company’s general training programme for all employees via an integrated internal training platform to encourage the acquisition of the new skills necessary to support digital transformation, either individually or in groups.

OneLife is therefore very grateful to Mr Nicolas Schmit for his participation and support and hopes to be able to further contribute to the cooperation initiatives proposed by the goverment between the private and public sectors to help achieve an effective digital transition.  « Together, we can achieve this goal ! »

OUR FEATURED SPEAKERS

As part of Digital Days, OneLife will welcome several of its partners on Thursday 15 June: Ainos, Intech, Nowina, Advize and KYCTech.

A pioneer of digital life in insurance in Luxembourg, OneLife has already begun to integrate many innovations and wants to help its employees improve productivity by incorporating these changes in their daily work.

  • LinkedIn Europe: the strength of this social network is being the largest professional networking platform in the world. Its ease of access made it the ideal partner, with sufficient resources to also become a training platform. LinkedIn Europe will help OneLife employees align their skills in digital matters.

  • Ainos start-up: Ainos has already worked with Onelife on the implementation of a mobile application for business partners that allows real-time access to their portfolios and the completion of transactions in real time. Ainos is also  an expert in the development of bots (based on artificial intelligence and machine learning). It works on new applications for this technology in life insurance, as well as a new project under way, to be presented by the Luxembourg company.

  • Intech is an expert in the development of information systems and was one of the very first to develop funds distribution solutions based on the Luxembourg marketplace blockchain. Its participation offers a great opportunity to take stock of the revolution brought about by this technology.

  • Nowina offers authentication solutions. It is currently working on a digital signage solution with OneLife. Nowina will present the issues surrounding authentication and digital identity, its clear advantages and the challenges involved.

  • Advize is an insurance broker and financial investment advisor for online savings. FinTech was part of its expertise early on, including the allocation of funds. It will therefore be sharing experiences about FinTech’s ability to meet the specific needs of life insurance.

  • At the start of the year, KYCTech and OneLife delivered a RegTech solution for KYC/AML for digitalizing the on-boarding process that OneLife is implementing this year. KYCTech aims to simplify regulation through adaptable technology and will discuss the increased efficiency that RegTech represents.

Expertise, combined with a strategic vision for the financial sector, will take centre stage during Wednesday’s workshops for OneLife employees in Capellen.
