The mission
Provide tax and legal advice and support in order to secure the legal and tax environment of OneLife Group’s undertakings. Ensure that OneLife’s tax and legal corporate duties are duly fulfilled.
Main objectives of the role
- Provide support and act as the main point of contact for all matters related to corporate tax, including corporate income tax returns, withholding taxes, “Pillar 2”, director fees, transfer pricing, etc.
- Provide support to internal clients on matters related to corporate legal, corporate finance and business legal.
- Review and draft corporate and business related agreements.
- Ensure the legal and tax compliance and maintenance of our existing life insurance portfolio, primarily in our core markets, and contribute to its growth.
- Contribute to the development and review of product documentation.
- Report on activities in general in accordance with the modalities agreed with management.
- Lead or contribute to internal projects by providing accurate analysis and follow up on legal and tax matters and implementing solutions.
- Manage and advise on complaints or disputes with third parties, which could lead to legal proceedings. Support the team member(s) who are responsible for complaints and litigations, where required.
- Participate actively in marketing initiatives, including events, newsletters, partner meetings, training, etc.
Profile of our future teammate
- At least 3 years’ experience in providing corporate tax support and legal expertise in the insurance or banking sector or in a fiduciary
- Active listening and good communication skills
- Able to adapt to different level of stakeholders
- Open to multicultural and multilingual diversity
- Capable of working independently as well as within a team
- Problem solver & solution oriented
- Fluent French and English (written and spoken). Additional European languages are an asset (Dutch, Spanish or Portuguese)
