We asked HNW individuals from around Europe if they had moved in the past ten years, or if they plan to relocate in the next decade. What we found was that whilst the UK and France rate much lower in the proportion of HNWs who have previously lived abroad, individuals in the BENE countries, Scandinavia and Germany have a greater appetite for expat-living. Similarly, under 35s are more likely to have lived outside their home country than their older counterparts. This trend will be set to continue as they also express greater interest in moving in the future.

NPG is pleased to announce the upcoming release of our latest research into the lives of the European wealthy – ‘The Meaning of Life’. If there is a riddle that many people cannot solve, it is how to strike the right balance when juggling our personal and professional lives. The interplay between these distinct spheres has a fundamental impact on the way that we live our lives. And, for individuals with great wealth – this dynamic is more complex and challenging.

Furthermore, and much in good timing with our ‘Work-Life’ report release, NPG is excited to have been selected as a finalist for WealthBriefing’s 2016 ‘Outstanding Contribution to Wealth Management Thought Leadership’ award.
